Kathleen the Writer

Author: tomprdg0910 | Filed under: Uncategorized

Kathleen’s whole point was to try and find inspiration ware ever and whenever it may come along. This can and does involve many thinks. You may need to go into your families past or even think to your families future to find a story. This is just on place you could find a story. There are an infinite number of places that you could go to find a story.

One place the Kathleen got her stories from was from her family. She got one story from her grandparents. Ever Saturday night there was a dance in her grandparents town. They always went but there was always a lot of traffic going away from the field after the dance. Soy the decided to try and park in the adjacent field and cross the train bridge to get to the other field. So they got to the dance and had a lot of fun. But on the way back to their car, as they were crossing the bridge they heard the sound of the 10:30 train coming. They were to far to run back and they were to far to make it to their car. So they decided to hang under the bridge as the train went over them and Kathleen took that and wrote a book.

She also wrote a story about ware she lived. She lived in Mass and she go interested in the Salem witch trials. She discovered that her family had been involved. She found that very interesting as anyone would. But she did something that not a lot of people would do. She took that info and wrote a story about it.

A List of Writing Insperations

Author: tomprdg0910 | Filed under: Uncategorized

This is my  list of writings that fall into certian catagories of insperation. Some came from family and others came fromr friends and tv or what ever  else I was doing when I was supposed to be writing something . This just proves that insperation can come from anywhere or from anything.

  • Your own life
  • Disobey to Grow-This is a story of my teen years so far. This is how the world has to be.

  •   Cookies-  This fall into this catagorie as well as your geneolgy. If you read this story it would not seam like it has anything to do with family. But if you knew my family yiou woul know that we take food very secroisly and cookies may seem all nice and good but they are really important.

  • Vacations/trips

    Traits of the Hero

Author: tomprdg0910 | Filed under: English Work

Everybody has traits. Something that makes them who they are. These thing influence everything about a person. From how they dress to how they treat others. These traits will influence every person that you cone into contact with. The character Jerry from The Chocolate War has some major traits that effect the story.

The important traits are independence, courage and stupidity. He shows these traits throughout the book. In all the difficult situations that he faces he always has these traits going on somewhere in the background. It gives the story an idea and a direction.

One time Jerry is courageous is when he agrees to fight Emile. In the back of his mind I think that he knew that he would get his butt kicked but he went ahead anyway. This is also independent because he went to the fight on his own, there was no entourage and there was no help when he was knocked down, hard. This was also very stupid because he knew in the back of his mind that he was going to be wrecked but he did it due to blind anger.

    Secret Organizations

Author: tomprdg0910 | Filed under: English Work

We all want to be part of the special groups and organizations. There could be benefits and there could be repercussions. It is all up to you. From what group you join to what you do in that group could change the groups attitude and how others respond to them.

I class I posed the question “What benefits might come from associating with a secret organization.” There were a lot of different ideas. Megan M said “It could be good because you would have some “friends” in a group.” I put friends in quotes because they may not be your real friends.

I also asked the question “What problems might come from associating with a secret organization.” Bernie C said “Being in an organization like this could be bad because you can’t leave the group once you are in.” This could be really bad if the group started to do illegal stuff. Even if you were not involved in a crime per say, if the authority found out that you were in with this group you might get in trouble.

    The Thiefs World

Author: tomprdg0910 | Filed under: English Work

We all have those times when we think that we know someone but we don’t. This happen to Dade with the thief. He though that he knew what she wanted to it turned out he didn’t. He is only sad about this because I think that he really wanted to understand without being told.

One thing that lead him to this conclusion is when he tried to talk to her he had noting to say. If he had truly understood her he would have been able to talk to her. Also he wanted to trust her with stuff a little. But scene he know that she steals and he doesn’t know why he can’t trust her.

Also he may have felt that he knew her from somewhere. We have all had those experiences where we see someone a few times and get the feeling that we know or understand them. I think that Dade had this type of experience with the thief and when he could not understand them he was sad.

    Disobey to Grow

Author: tomprdg0910 | Filed under: English Work

I think that kid do need disobey a little in order to grow up. A parent will always want their kids to be safe and some of the most cool things in life are not alway safe. Parents just want you to be happy but your life is your life and you are responsible for it.

I think that parents want you to be safe. They often over do this and they start to smother people. This is when teens disobey. They feel the need to do their own thing and their parents will not let them. This is when the real mistakes are made. With out a parent teens may not no when to stop.

Also I think parents make mistakes when it comes to disobedience. They start off by yelling and that just turns kids off to what they did wrong. The parents should realise that if the kids mess up then it is their responsiblity to deal with. Parents should help their kids with the problem after a good “I told you so”.

    The Griffin is True

Author: tomprdg0910 | Filed under: English Work

The Griffin has a very true oppion of human nature. He sees us for what we know we are but what we ignore. The Griffin understans what there is in this world and can see that we do the world no favors.

The first thing that the Griffin saw in us was our ability to hate something before we we even know what it is. This was very disapointing to the Griffin because all he want to do was to see his stature. He knew  that there would be trouble as some as he heard the commotion from the town. He started to see the flaws in humans even then.

The Griffin also saw our ability to fear what we do not understand. He saw that we are terafied of anything that is different that we are. He soon found out that the people of the town would sooner shun him rather that try to understand what he wanted and or needed.

A Movement; By The People, For The People

Author: tomprdg0910 | Filed under: English Work

The Harlem Renaissance is a period in time when black people started to realize that they did not need to be segregated any more. This was a time for hope and for happiness. People thought that soon they would be free of the oppression of white people and they could become whatever they want to be. This turn around came about for a couple of reasons.

The first reason that there was this turn around came about was because people became more educated about the world. People wanted to be free and they started to learn about other countries where blacks are free. They wanted to emulate those countries so bad that it started a movement.

Also black people started to make their own news papers and other publications. This helped to educate other on the way that the world really is. When you do not known how the world really is that you can’t change it, but as soon as you know what is going on that you can do something to stop it.

    How to Enjoy a Book

Author: tomprdg0910 | Filed under: English Work

The thing that makes a good story is how well the reader can connect to it. The story that I am reading does that very well. I am reading The Time Paradox. It is quite the engaging story for me. It is this way for two reasons.

The first reason is because it is about a young boy who is a criminal mastermind. Because this is so outlandish that it is quite entertaining. It gives this story a new outlook on the world. It forced you to think in a whole new way.

The other reason that I like this story is because it challenges the common ideas of the world. There are things like time travel that challenge the mind. I do enjoy a good puzzling though every no and again. And time travel is the best way to do that. There is no answer so every answer you come up with could be the right one.
